Why (From the Album “Changes”)

Verse 1
I look at the world so broken and fallen
And sometimes I wonder Lord, do You hear us calling?
Cause there’s famine and greed, divorce and disease
Abortion and war so could you please answer me?

Chorus:
Why Lord, I’m asking You,
Why are they hungry and begging for food?
Why are they lonely, abandoned and poor?
This can’t be the way you intended it Lord.
Why? Why is it Lord?
Why are the nations corrupted by war?
Why are the babies abandoned at birth?
Why won’t you take back control of this earth?
Why?

Verse 2
Cause poverty and war have taken their toll
and I’m ashamed to even as God, but are you still in control?
But then I hear a small voice in this confusion that I see
And I find my answers when my questions are turn back at me

Chorus 2:
You say why, Child, I’m asking you?
Why are they hungry and when you have the food?
Why are they lonely, abandoned and poor?
What did you think that I put you here for?
Why? If I am your Lord?
Why are the nations corrupted by war?
Why are your babies abandoned at birth?
This is not the way I intended this earth.
Why?

Bridge:
We are his hands and his feet.
We are his hands and his feet.
We are his hands and his feet.
We are his hands and his feet.
