Why 06:59
Why (From the Album “Changes”) Verse 1 I look at the world so broken and fallen And sometimes I wonder Lord, do You hear us calling? Cause there’s famine and greed, divorce and disease Abortion and war so could you please answer me? Chorus: Why Lord, I’m asking You, Why are they hungry and begging for food? Why are they lonely, abandoned and poor? This can’t be the way you intended it Lord. Why? Why is it Lord? Why are the nations corrupted by war? Why are the babies abandoned at birth? Why won’t you take back control of this earth? Why? Verse 2 Cause poverty and war have taken their toll and I’m ashamed to even as God, but are you still in control? But then I hear a small voice in this confusion that I see And I find my answers when my questions are turn back at me Chorus 2: You say why, Child, I’m asking you? Why are they hungry and when you have the food? Why are they lonely, abandoned and poor? What did you think that I put you here for? Why? If I am your Lord? Why are the nations corrupted by war? Why are your babies abandoned at birth? This is not the way I intended this earth. Why? Bridge: We are his hands and his feet. We are his hands and his feet. We are his hands and his feet. We are his hands and his feet.

Lost No More 03:54
Lost No More (From the Album “Changes”) Verse 1 I didn’t read a map. I didn’t watch the signs Walking in a wilderness of my own design. The sun began to set and the road began to wind. Lost and alone in the night Chorus But I’m lost no more I’m singing Glory to the Lord. I’m lost no more cause I’m found in You. Verse 2 I said I was righteous but my life said something else Jeckyl and Hyde, I was a stranger to myself. Completely lost until You made a way. Now I’m walking in truth and I’m living under grace. Chorus Bridge Running in the dark will turn into a crawl And it won’t take long until you’re face first in a wall. But when you’re fall on your knees it’s the safest place to fall. Surrender is the quickest way back home.

Sacred Heart Of Jesus (From the Album “Changes”) Verse 1 O, Sacred Heart of Jesus Filled with boundless love Broken by our cold ingratitude Pierced by our transgressions yet loving us still The only hope we have is found in you Pre-Chorus We’re longing for You We’re desperate for Your grace. We hear your invitation Ringing through this place as You say Chorus: Come to me all who are weary Bring in your burdens and leave them here Bring all your sin and sorrow And all of you tomorrows And I will give you rest. Verse 2 O, Sacred heart of Jesus Merciful and true Teach us how to do the Father’s plan Fill us with compassion Help us be like You Taking on the needs of hurting man. Pre-Chorus We’re longing for You We’re desperate for Your grace. We hear your invitation Ringing through this place as You say Chorus: Come to me all who are weary Bring in your burdens and leave them here Bring all your sin and sorrow And all of you tomorrows And I will give you rest.

Private Storm (From the Album “Changes”) Verse 1 He leans into the wind of a blowing sideways rain. He fights so brave and strong ‘til his life is nearly drained He’s battered on the rocks of the silence of the Lord That echoes through the night of His own private storm Verse 2 And it’s just another night but it’s the darkest he has known And he can barely stand upright but the storm still rages on And through his blurry eyes he searches for the dawn He’s fighting for his life through his own private storm Chorus 1: And it’ll spin him all about. It’ll toss him all around. It’ll throw him in the air and it’ll slam him to the ground It’ll make him start to ask if there ever was a God And in this private storm will there ever be a calm? Will there be a calm? Verse 2 Cause God’s silence is not golden when you’re hanging on a cross And you’re fighting every storm humankind has ever fought. And it’s true that God won’t give anymore than we can bear But the storm is not from God and it doesn’t really care. So the storm beat Him down and it took His life away But three days in the ground and rising from the grave Will carry every soul who is battered in the rains And it tells us that the gales will not have the final say And your own private storm, it will not win this fight Cause your own private storm has been crucified with Christ. Chorus 1: And it may spin you all about. It may toss you all around. It might throw you in the air and it may slam you to the ground And it may make you start to ask if there ever was a God But in this private storm He will be the calm? He will there be a calm?

Old Rusty Nail (From the Album “Changes”) Verse 1 Like an old rusty nail in a bad piece of wood We hang on to the old even if it’s no good We don’t want to change cause that’s hard to do But sooner or later the change will find you. Verse 2 Every Sunday is like Halloween Wearing a mask to make you look clean A brilliant disguise there in the pew You say you know Jesus but does He know you? Verse 3 Like a bad doctor who won’t take his pills You point to the cure but choose to stay ill. I can’t imagine how hard it must be To live like a slave while saying you’re free. Verse 4 Open your eyes. Open your eyes. There’s a speck in yours. There’s a plank in mine. Do you want to be healed? © 2010 Rick L. James Rick James BMI Work # 12132878

Keep Your Eyes Upon The Nazarene 1.) Look at the believers standing in their Sunday best. The women in their dresses, and the men in coats and vests. Some of them are honest, a lot of them are not When they're singing "I Surrender All" 2.) Some moan about the music if it isn't done their way It's immature and selfish but it's going on today Gods says to sing a new song, but we'll stick with the old With any luck we'll drive the kids away. 3.) And younger people do it too, no memory for the past The treat the older members just like they've already passed The segregate the worship, saying "Have it your own way" We've turned the church into a fast food chain 4.) Somehow ole' Democracy snuck in the house of God We've given God's authority unto the common mob If you don't like the liturgy we'll put it to a vote Kingdom come and let our will be done. Chorus: Republicans and Democrats, Tea Parties, and the Green None of us have got it right, none of us are clean The right are wrong, the left ain't right and some are in between So keep your eyes upon the Nazarene 5.) Jesus was the Nazarene who lived among the poor I wonder if we'd let Him in if he came to our door. We don't help the poor cause they might buy alcohol We pray for them inside our gated walls. 6.) I'm not throwing stones I'm just trying to tell the truth The truth is everybody, some believers are confused And I'm getting pretty nervous when they talk about Fox News Like it is the final word of God. Chorus: 7.)And Jesus wasn't joking with, "Love Your Enemies" But usually we treat them like a really bad disease. It rots us to the core and it takes our Faith away When Instead of God we love the U.S.A. 8.) If God Damns a person is the worst curse of all But I think we damn ourselves when we justify our wars When His precious blood is used as the very best excuse The shed the precious blood of someone else.
